Custom CRM Development Company in India
CRM software built around your stages, your channels and your permissions, for teams across India that have outgrown spreadsheets and seat-based products.

The short answer
A custom CRM development company in India designs and builds a CRM around how your team actually sells, instead of renting seats on a product whose stages, fields and permissions were designed for someone else. A focused sales CRM for an Indian SME is commonly quoted in the ₹4 lakh to ₹10 lakh range. Systems with WhatsApp, Tally, dealer pricing or a mobile app for field staff land higher. Zoho CRM or HubSpot is often the better buy when the process is a standard pipeline. The build quote and the software subscription are different bills.
Web6 is a CRM development company based in Surat, Gujarat, founded in 2017. We build custom CRMs for manufacturers, exporters, real estate, healthcare, wholesale and ecommerce teams, and we also implement Zoho when Zoho fits. Projects run remotely across India, with a written scope and the source code handed to you. This page covers what we build, when a custom CRM earns its cost, and how to tell a serious team from a form-builder.
Key points
- Custom CRM wins when the workflow, the permissions or the integrations are the product. It loses when you only need contacts, a pipeline and follow-up reminders.
- Indian sales still happens on WhatsApp, IndiaMART and the phone. A CRM that asks reps to retype those conversations will be abandoned in a month.
- You should own the repository, the database and the cloud account. An agency login that you cannot revoke is not ownership.
- Budget hosting, WhatsApp conversation fees and a support retainer after launch. The build invoice is the first year, not the last.

What a custom CRM development company in India builds
"CRM development" covers several different jobs. The price and the team change with the job.
| Job | What it involves | Who usually needs it |
|---|---|---|
| Sales CRM | Leads, companies, a pipeline that matches real stages, tasks, reminders, quotations, role-based access, a few reports | B2B teams leaving spreadsheets |
| Channel CRM | WhatsApp shared inbox, IndiaMART or portal lead intake, call logging, assignment rules | Teams whose buyers never email |
| Operations CRM | Approvals, dealer or branch pricing, documents, a customer portal, sync with Tally or an ERP | Manufacturers, distributors, multi-branch firms |
| Industry CRM | Objects the generic CRM does not have: units and site visits, AMC visits, batch or shade, clinic appointments | Real estate, healthcare, manufacturing |
| Platform work | Zoho modules, Blueprint, Deluge, integrations. This is configuration, not a new application | Teams whose process fits Zoho |
Web6 does the first four as custom software, and the fifth as Zoho CRM development. If a discovery call shows Zoho or HubSpot will do the job, we say so before a build starts. The comparison lives in Zoho CRM vs custom CRM.
When custom beats Zoho or HubSpot
Zoho CRM's own feature list, read on 4 November 2026, prices Professional at ₹1,400 per user per month on annual billing and Enterprise at ₹2,400. HubSpot lists Sales Hub Professional from $90 per seat per month on an annual commitment, plus a required onboarding fee. Those products are finished software. A custom CRM has to earn the right to replace them.
Custom is the cleaner path when several of these are true at once:
- The pipeline stages are not "lead, qualified, proposal, won". They are enquiry, sample, shade approval, PI, production, dispatch, or site visit, token, agreement, collection.
- Who can see a record depends on branch, dealer, project or product line, and the packaged roles keep leaking data.
- Quotation rules, discount approval or inventory blocking are the sale. A note field is not enough.
- The CRM must be the screen reps live in, including WhatsApp, and a side inbox they forget to open will fail.
- Per-user pricing over three to five years costs more than a build plus a retainer, for a process you already know is stable.
Custom is the wrong path when the team has never used a CRM, the process changes every month, or the only complaint about Zoho is that nobody logs calls. Software will not fix a habit. Start on Zoho Standard or Professional, and revisit a build when the workarounds are specific and expensive.
The India-specific stack
A CRM designed for a US inside-sales team misses the channels Indian buyers actually use.
The WhatsApp Business app on one phone cannot be a team CRM. A shared inbox needs the WhatsApp Business Platform (the official API), template messages Meta approves, and a log of every chat on the lead. From 1 October 2026 Meta's India rate card charges about ₹0.8631 per delivered marketing message and ₹0.115 per delivered utility or service message, with 1,000 free service messages per number each month. The detail, and when a SaaS inbox is enough, is in WhatsApp CRM for Indian businesses.
Lead sources
Website forms, Meta lead ads, IndiaMART, TradeIndia, Justdial, property portals and missed-call numbers should land in one queue and de-duplicate on phone number. Assignment by territory, product or round-robin belongs in the CRM, not in a morning WhatsApp forward.
Quotations and GST
Indian B2B quotes carry GST, HSN or SAC, and often a discount that needs a manager. The CRM can generate the PDF. Your accountant or Tally still owns the tax invoice. We do not pretend a CRM replaces your books.
Tally, Zoho Books and Shopify
Customer and item masters usually live in accounting or an ERP. The CRM should read them and write back the documents you agree are its job, through a queue, so a slow Tally company file does not freeze the sales screen. Ecommerce teams can pull Shopify order context into the same customer record. That pattern is covered in Shopify ERP and CRM API integration.
Data
Names, phone numbers and chat logs are personal data. The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 applies to how you collect and store them. A broadcast list needs a real opt-in. Ask your lawyer how the Act applies to your team before you turn on bulk messaging. We design export, deletion and access logs so that conversation is possible. We do not give legal sign-off.
CRM development services
- Discovery and process map. A written picture of stages, roles, channels and the reports the owner actually opens.
- CRM application. Web app for sales, support and managers, with permissions, audit of sensitive actions, and a phone layout reps will use on a visit.
- Integrations. WhatsApp, email, telephony, IndiaMART, Tally or Zoho Books, Shopify, payment links.
- Migration. Spreadsheets and the old CRM, with a duplicate pass on phone and email before go-live.
- Industry modules. Real estate inventory and site visits, dealer pricing, service tickets, clinic or field visits. See custom CRM for real estate in India and the real estate CRM case study.
- After launch. A retainer for fixes, new stages and security updates. A CRM with no owner decays.
What custom CRM development costs in India
These are planning bands compiled from public Indian vendor guides in 2026, not a Web6 rate card. Two quotes with the same total can hide different scope. The full breakdown, including Zoho and HubSpot over three years, is in custom CRM development cost in India.
| Scope | Typical published range | Rough timeline |
|---|---|---|
| Lead manager: capture, assign, follow-up, basic reports | ₹1.5 lakh – ₹4 lakh | 4–8 weeks |
| Sales CRM: pipeline, quotes, roles, dashboards | ₹4 lakh – ₹10 lakh | 2–4 months |
| CRM plus WhatsApp, Tally or portal intake, approvals | ₹6 lakh – ₹15 lakh | 3–5 months |
| Multi-branch or industry platform, mobile app, portals | ₹15 lakh – ₹40 lakh+ | 4–8 months |
Web6 quotes a fixed scope after a discovery call. Hosting, Meta's WhatsApp fees, SMS and a support retainer sit outside the build.
How the work is sold
Two shapes cover almost every CRM we take on.
- Fixed scope. A written version one, a price, and milestone payments. This fits a team that can describe the pipeline and the one or two integrations that have to exist on day one.
- Scope plus retainer. The same first release, then a monthly block of changes once people are using it. Stages move after the first real month. A frozen CRM is how teams slide back to spreadsheets.
We do not sell a per-user licence for the software we write. Hosting, Meta's WhatsApp fees and any SMS or email provider stay as usage bills in your name. If a discovery call shows Zoho Professional will do the job, the engagement becomes a Zoho implementation and the subscription is yours with Zoho, not a build invoice with us.
How a project runs
- Workshop. We sit with the people who sell, not only the person who signed the contract. Stages, exceptions and the spreadsheet they actually trust come out of that room.
- Written scope. Modules, screens, roles, integrations, what is explicitly out of version one, timeline and price.
- Design. Pipeline and key screens agreed before the bulk of the code.
- Build in slices. A usable pipeline first. Quotes, WhatsApp and accounting sync after the team is logging real leads.
- Data and training. Import, duplicate cleanup, a short training with the reps who will live in it.
- Handover. Repository, cloud account, admin access and a support window in your name.
Surat team, India-wide delivery
The studio is in Surat. Clients elsewhere in India work with the same team over calls and a shared staging site. The local page, with Surat proof and the same delivery model, is CRM development company in Surat. Use that page if you want a team you can meet in Surat. Use this page if the search you care about is India-wide. They are two pages because Google treats them as two queries.
A written contract and invoices come from Web6 Technologies. You get the source code. We keep a copy only if the support agreement says we do.
How to choose a CRM partner
Ask for a CRM you can log into, not a slide of modules. Ask who owns the code on day one. Ask which WhatsApp provider they use, and whether messages are sent through Meta's official platform. Ask what they will refuse to build in version one.
The question list is in how to choose a custom CRM development company in India. A way to read public shortlists, with Web6 left out of the ranking, is in best custom CRM development companies in India.
